U.S. Employer files a Labor Certification
Application on Employee's behalf

Immigration Petition by the U.S. Employer
after the Labor Certification is Approved
(Form I-140 Petition)

Adjustment of Status Application by the Alien
Employee when the Priority Date is prior to the
published cutoff date

Once Adjustment of Status Application is Approved,
Alien receives Permanent Residence (Green Card)
