An alien student may
leave the United States and be readmitted for attendance at an USCIS-approved educational
institution. Upon the foreign student's return to the United States, he should
provide the immigration inspectors with: a. A valid passport; b. A valid
F-1 visa stamped in the passport. An alien student may obtain a valid F-1 Visa

processing, please click here. c. An I-20 signed by foreign student advisor
(the student should have the foreign student advisor sign the USCIS Form I-20 each
time he wishes to temporarily travel outside the United States); d. A new
USCIS Form I-20 A-B/I-20 ID if there have been any substantive changes in the course
of study or place of study or if the alien student has been outside the U.S. for
more than five months; and e. Proof of financial support.
