Hi Renae, Yesterday we received our Green cards in the mail and are really thrilled to hold that little thing in our hands. It may be hard for you to imagine what it means for us, after all that frustrating experience over last two years. I don't have even a shred of doubt that this success is mostly because of your superb performance. Thank you so very much for making this happen. If it's okay with you, XXXX and I would like to take you out for dinner next time we are in Chicago area . Working with you has been like working with a wonderful colleague and as much I wanted to reach the destination, I have enjoyed every step in this journey. Of course, I have informed XXXX in our HR about this development and she will update my immigration status in her file upon returning from her vacation. I suppose our H-1B status becomes invalid with immediate effect, right? And... we can now stand in the line for permanent residents at the port of entries into the USA. Please let me know if there are other important things that we need to observe or take actions on. I glanced through the M-618 document but that seems to be very basic and is perhaps more suitable for those who have just arrived in the US with a green card. I may get information more relevant to my situation reading FAQs at you firm's website, I guess. Well, this may mark a successful completion of one of the many projects you are working on but I would like to keep in touch with you and wish you all success in your future endeavors. Best regards, Client 09/07/2013
