and was approved in September 2005.

Dr. Pak

Dr. Pak graduated from one of the best medical schools in India and then he obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from a top research university in U.S. Currently, he is conducting advanced research at a top research institution.

Dr. Pak retained Zhang & Associates, P.C. for his NIW petition. Our excellent legal team carefully reviewed his petition package. Prior to his arrival in U.S., our attorneys showed to the immigration officer that Dr. Pak’s work on the crystal structure of the Rhodobacter spheroid’s cytochrome bc1 had provided invaluable information on the electron transfer mechanism, which had been pursued by scientists in this field for several decades without significant success.

When he came to U.S., he continued his ground breaking contributions to biomedical science.  We emphasized that Dr. Pak developed a method which was widely applied by other scientists in their own work to make new discoveries.

To demonstrate how outstanding Dr Pak was comparing to his peer scientists in his field, we submitted 9 glowing recommendation letters, including 4 independent advisory opinions. Moreover, we also highlighted one letter, written by a Nobel laureate, who gave Dr. Pak the highest remarks for his academic achievements. We also provided documentation to show Dr. Pak had published more 15 articles and some of them were cover articles on top journals.

Due to our thorough documentation and effective presentation, Dr. Pak’s petition was filed on June 23, 2005 and approved on July 29, 2005.

Dr. Mangeshkar

Dr. Mangeshkar is a multi-degreed scientist with extensive experience in the field of mining engineering. Dr. Mangeshkar obtained two Ph.D. degrees in Mining and Minerals Engineering and Minerals Processing Engineering from prominent American university.

He retained Zhang & Associates, P.C. for his NIW petition. Our elite legal team noticed his current research in critical field would aid in the better use of coal as a significant energy source, the development of alternative fuels, and the reduction of environmental pollution.  We emphasized to the immigration officer that the potential application of Dr. Mangeshkar’s research was enormous because it would help the our nation cope the current and future energy crisis and environmental challenge.

To demonstrate that his research had significant impact on his field, we submitted to the officer that Dr. Mangeshkar’s more than 9 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in prestigious journals and numerous papers presented at major scientific conferences. We also provided documentary evidence of major awards received by him based on his research.

Although Dr. Mangeshkar had numerous publications, we noticed that none of them were first-authored papers. Therefore, according to his own situation, our experienced attorneys decided to submit to the officer 12 glowing recommendation letters, all testifying that Dr. Mangeshkar was among the elite researchers of his specialized field and he would have significant impact on his field.
