Hello Mr. Mai,

I think my application was approved. Please see the attached picture.

My interview went pretty well yesterday. The officer went through regular questions with me. Mytrip to China became the only problem. The officer took some of my paperwork and told me that within 30 – 60 days I will received a notice. It might be a notice to request more supporting documents or a notice to inform me their final decision.

Today I received an email telling me there is an update to my case, when I logged into the USCIS account I saw the case was approved.

From observing her reactions and feedbacks during our conversation, I think the fact that my mother is an American citizen and I have a good relationship with my American step father helped the officer to make her decision.

Documents that really helped was my lease agreement with a Davis apartment that lasted from 2014 to 2015 (during the time my husband also lived there). The other document is the letter explaining why I had to stay in China for so long. I mentioned my most recent car registration form. The officer said  a copy showing my car registration status between 2014 and 2015 would be more useful. What they really needed was documents showing my residency status during 2014 and 2015.

Thank you for telling me to take all the rent agreements, it was really important. And thank you for all the helping and advices during my application process.

Best regards

Client
