USCIS Extends Coronavirus Flexibility Policy to June 30th (60-day deadline extension for various filings)
Due to the continuance of the Covid-19 pandemic, USCIS is extending its accommodations that was first implemented in March of 2020. These accommodations, which have been extended multiple times already, will officially extend to June 30, 2021, with the possibility of further extensions depending on the nature of the pandemic.
The extended accommodations include an additional 60-day deadline extension for various response filings. Specifically, those who have received a Request for Evidence (RFE), Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID), Notice of Intent to Terminate EB-5 Regional Center (NOIT), Notice of Intent to Revoke (NOIR) or Notice of Intent to Rescind between the dates of March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 will be given an extra 60 days after the due date set in the request/notice. Furthermore, USCIS will be granting 60 days to file an I-290B, motion required to reopen an adverse USCIS decision, and N-336, Request for a hearing on a decision in naturalization proceedings. Normally, petitioner will have 30 days from the date of decision to file N-336 or I-290B. The extended USCIS policy will give petitioners 60 days to respond for decisions received between March 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
