On February 8th 2016, the US Department of State released the March 2016 immigrant visa bulletin. Various categories have been updated including employment based final action dates and filing dates for Chinese Mainland born applicants. These application final action updates for mainland Chinese immigrants are, EB-2 cutoff date has moved from March 1, 2012 to August 1, 2012, EB-3 has moved from October 1, 2012 to June 1, 2013, and EB-5 has moved from January 15, 2014 to January 22, 2014.

In addition to changes to the application final action dates, there are significant updates for dates for filing employment based visas. For example, EB-2 filing cutoff dates has been updated from January 1,2013 to June 1, 2013 for Chinese mainland applicants. Furthermore, the cutoff date for EB-3 mainland Chinese applicants has been moved from October 1, 2013 to May 1, 2015. This is a significant update from February to March.  Unfortunately, on February 11, 2016, USCIS announced that for March, they will not be using the filing chart to determine the cutoff dates but rather use the application final action dates for employment based filing.
