Limitations of Our Free Evaluation

What a Free Evaluation does NOT do

  • Our free evaluation does not provide a detailed picture of your case.
  • Our free evaluation is not a consultation that involves in-depth legal work.
  • Our free evaluation does not amount to legal opinion or create an attorney-client relationship.
  • Our free evaluation is not expected to answer complex legal questions.
  • Our free evaluation is not an open-ended process. This means, inter alia, if you have further questions after our free evaluation, you will be referred to our fee-based consultation services.

Some examples:

1. Ms. Li, an F-1 student from China, married a U.S. citizen. She chooses to file her green card petition pro se (by herself), but she is not certain how to fill out some items on the I-130 form. Ms. Li requests that we give her free advice on this issue. Such a request is beyond the scope of our free evaluation service.

2. Dr. Sun intends to file an EB-1A petition. He emails us an inquiry for a free evaluation. After reviewing his resume, we determine that his case has a reasonable chance of success. After receiving our assessment, Dr. Sun further requests that we give him instructions on how to draft a recommendation letter. Such a request is beyond the scope of our free evaluation. The free evaluation process was closed when we sent Dr. Sun our assessment. For further proceedings, Dr. Sun may choose our fee-based consultation services, or retain us to handle his case.
